Cheques issued from banks in India : If a cheque is issued to you from any of the bank in India, the work is so simple and the money will be deposited to your account (in case of A/C payee cheque) within few days or even on that day depending on the locality of your bank. Most of the banks doesn’t charge your any commission for the cheques issued from any other branch in the country within the same bank and acceptable commission for other banks.

How long does it take receive the Adsense cheque?
Google Adsense cheques are issued from Google Inc, Amphitheatre Parkway, California.It takes between 10 to 25 days from the date of release to be received by the individual in India.
Cheques are sent through blue dart and may reach most of them in India through speed post.For people in South India the post will be sent from Google office in Hyderabad.

How to separate the cheque?


For most of them who are receiving overseas check for the first time will be some what confused with the appearance of the cheque where the cheque will be attached along in a sheet which has details about the cheque and payment.The cheque has to be separated from the sheet exactly in the dotted lines given near the cheque which may not be visible until you see carefully.

 

Depositing the cheque

Cheques in India are payable in Citi Bank of India. So, for those who are having Citibank account the work is much simple.They can deposit normally as they do and will be credited within short span or even on the same day.For other banks it may take time depending on the locality of the bank as banks in rural areas have to send the cheque for collection to deposit into your account for which they will charge you some commission.Entering cheque details in slip
Fill your details like the account number and others as usual.Then mention the details of the cheque as printed,(Refer the encircled portions of the cheque above for better idea)

Take a xerox of the cheque before depositing for your reference.Keep the deposit slip which you received until the cash is credited.

Depositing Overseas Cheque:

Depositing the cheque in an overseas bank also can be submitted by the same procedure mentioned above by giving the details.Currency should be stated as mentioned in the cheque without converting to local currency, like $100 etc.,Normally the overseas cheques are sent for collection to the respective banks and it takes around 30 to 45 days for the money to be deposited in your account.The commsiion is also bit more as I paid Rs.250 as commission for a cheque $200 which is almost 20% of the gross.As I mentioned earlier deposit slip and xerox copy of the cheque is must for your safety until the cash is deposited.
